Why a "Pirate"? What do Pirates eat??

Beef, Pork, Eggs, Chicken, Fish, Green Veggies, Nuts, Seeds, 90% Cacao Dark Chocolate, Water with Salt & Lemon. Lots of it. Surprised?

Though I’m not sure what Blackbeard would have eaten (we all know what he drank) I’m not really advocating you eat like a real swashbuckling Caribbean buccaneer at all. I am a “Pirate” by trade and started a business called Pirate Play Ships in 2008 building custom Pirate Ships for families and businesses. I've traveled to four different countries building over 300 Pirate Ships and other creations and have met some amazing people along the way. 

But in late 2017 I set out on a different journey...one where I discovered the power that food has to shape our health and our life. This information has added a clarity and dimension to who I am that I never knew was missing.

With Eat Like A Pirate {ELP} I take on anyone who is interested in disrupting their life in a positive way. I fully believe that what you put into your body becomes you, literally. 

I am not a licensed nutritionist nor do I have any formal training on the subject of health and nutrition. But that’s sort of the point here. For too long we have been told that the average person, without an expensive piece of paper or degree, can’t possibly know or understand what diet is good for you or the biology of the human body and how it works. "You must consult a doctor or health care professional with all the proper schooling and licensing"...right? Wrong. The principles I have found can be grasped by all who are eager to learn if presented in a clear, non-bias, agenda-free way.
And If I can get this...you can too.

My superpower is delivering information on how and what to eat to infuse your life with energy, vitality, clarity, and setting you up to live awesome. I also love to keep you motivated all along the journey. My goal is to guide anyone...male, female, young to old... in a simple straightforward way and transfer my passion for eating good honest food to you. The Moment I Did These Three Things With Laser Focus...
Cool Stuff Happened.

Because I drastically reduced the carbohydrate foods I was eating every day (all carbs turn to sugar in the body) I forced my metabolism to burn stored body fat instead of the sugar calories it was used to getting for 40 years. 

When I fed my body high quality fats and proteins that came from beef, eggs, butter, avocado, bacon, nuts, and seeds it knew exactly what to do with those nutrients and began optimizing every cell in my body. 

Now, over 6 years later and 46 years of age, I have never felt better and more optimistic about the next 46 years. The ailments that I just figured were a part of life and a part of aging disappeared. No more stomach aches, head aches, wild energy dips, mood swings, ravenous feeding all day long, getting sick, achy joints and bones, skin issues, brain fog, extra weight, and muscle loss. Many of these things we just live with day in and day out thinking they are inevitable or normal.
